Monitoring and Graphing BW for a sub interface

Jump to solution

Does anyone know of a way to monitor B/W for an individual sub interface? If so is their a MIB so that it could be possible to graph the B/W?

I know you can put top talkers on a sub interface as a work around to view bandwidth for that specific sub interface but this doesn't show you the 5 min avg

I use a NetFlow analyzer to monitor bandwidth usage for sub-interfaces.

Hello and thanks for posting to our forum.

AOS stats are kept for the top-level interface only.  Sub-interfaces do not keep individual stats.  Sub-interface stats are something Design is currently exploring as a possibility in the future.

Stats are kept on a VLAN interface, as it is just another numbered interface to the MIB.  If you were to compile the AOS MIBs it should be easily recognizable.  Here is a link to Configuring SNMP in AOS:

Let me know if you have any questions.
