Is there any special configuration required on the 3448 beyond the default settings to connect an HP Procurve switch?
I'm newer to the 3448 so thanks very much for your help.

Julian,
This depends on the settings of your HP Procurve switch. The NetVanta 3448 has an integrated 8-port switch with 2 routable ethernet interfaces. The 8 switchports, by default, are enabled and are VLAN 1 access ports. Also, keep in mind that VLAN 1's interface IP address is set to 10.10.10.1 /24 by default as well. As long as the HP Procurve switch is setup for a flat (1 VLAN) network, you should be able to plug it into one of the 8 switchports in the back and have layer 2 connectivity. Anything beyond that will probably require additional configuration on the 3448 to function.
