Netvanta 1238 3rd gen factory default from bootstrap

Jump to solution

I'm in a pickle. I rebooted a Netvanta 1238 3rd gen and it didn't come up. Long story short, I fashioned a DB9 console connection from other posts and saw I am stuck at bootstrap. I get some characters, but still a lot of garbage. Anyway, I can't tell what image is loaded due to the console output. Is there a way to set this to default. I copied the config before the reboot.

Thanks!

I made a third attempt with a different terminal emulator, terra term. Performed an xmodem transfer with N123Xv2A-R11-10-1.biz and was able to boot from it. Thanks goodness I had a backup of the config.
