SIP.PROXY ROUTING No route available for destination from ALG Info.

Hello, I am setting up transparent proxy on an Adtran 908e. I can't seem to get my phones to register and in the debug I am seeing the following error:

SIP.PROXY ROUTING No route available for destination x.x.x.x from ALG Info.

SIP.PROXY ROUTING Unable to find a destination for transparent outbound REGISTER.

Any ideas as to why this may be or what this is referring to?

Pretty much what it says. The SIP proxy registrar destination address isn't in the IP routing table. Possible causes:

• No default route on the device or no specific static route to the destination
• NAT not configured correctly for the subnet where the proxied phones exist to the Internet
• "IP media gateway primary" not configured on the internet-facing interface
• You're specifying a hostname for the registrar and DNS is either broken or returning a non-routable IP
• IP routing turned off on the box
• Misconfigured policy-based routing

Can you ping the registrar from a device on the LAN where the phones exist? If not, troubleshoot that and you'll likely fix it in the process.

If it matters, I am running NAT on this device. Would that be causing an issue?

Ping to the registrar is disabled because it is behind a SBC that doesn't permit ping. However, traceroute completes to the SBCs first hop router so it looks like IP connectivity is there.

It would probably be in your best interest to change the above portions of your configuration. If you don't, someone else eventually will, and it won't be one of your friends.
