PRI D Channel

Jump to solution

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to choose a specific D channel rather than using channel 24. I have a customer that wants the D channel to reside on channel 1 instead of 24. Has anyone else ever ran into this?

Thanks,

Robert G

Hello Robert,

The D-channel has to be set for channel 24 on the Total Access 900(e) units. You can setup a full T1 or a fractional T1, but the D-channel must be channel 24.  Unfortunately there is no way around this.  This document covers the PRI configuration in AOS:

Page 3 has a note that states that channel 24 is dedicated for PRI signaling.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Geoff
