Problem finally resolved by editing stunnel config:
not working:
accept = localhost:143
connect = imap.gmail.com:993
working:
accept = 143
connect = imap.gmail.com:993
Attached is the complete working IMAP stunnel config. (that worked in our particular situation)
Just to double check, did you go through all of the steps listed in the guide? If so, one thing that may be worth trying is changing the parts of the Stunnel configuration that reference localhost to be 127.0.0.1 instead, bouncing the stunnel service, and test to see if that makes a difference. I also wanted to mention that the guide has a troubleshooting section at the end that would be relevant to look at to verify UC passed the e-mail on to Stunnel.

Yes sir we have tried both and no difference, Adtran tech support has also looked at the config and said all looks good ??

I'm sorry to hear you could not get this to function correctly. This application should work. There may have been an issue with Stunnel or Windows based on the information I gathered from your support case as UC was attempting to contact Stunnel and it was not responding. It sounds like you were going to forfeit using the UC server for voicemail and instead use the new TLS SMTP capabilities offered in AOS R10.8.0 for the NetVanta 7100, which is compatible with Gmail.
