Hi guys, We have eight Netvanta 7100s and one 908e with a SIP Trunk on each unit pointing to the carrier and SIP Trunks pointing to each other for extension to extension dialing. Each unit has a total of nine SIP Trunks configured on it. I remember reading that the unit only supports up to ten SIP Trunks. If we add another site to our environment, we will be reaching the maximum number of supported SIP Trunks. 1) Is the SIP Trunk limit of 10 accurate? 2) Is there a workaround for those wanting to network more than nine sites together? Thank you.
We have a 7100 in our training virtual lab we have over 20+ sip trunks configured on it.
We say 10 just for performance issues.
You can add more, but when you do just monitor the CPU and Memory usage to make sure you not maxing out the unit.
It all depends on how many calls you are sending out each trunk and features you have configured on the 7100.
Hope that helps.
