I'm not able to leave voicemails from an internal call. The greeting plays but after hangup there is no message from an internal call. I did a debug and believe the error is outlined in the following lines. I've attached the good external debug and the bad internal debug. How can I fix this error? I've tried a checkdisk cflash wondering if it was a cflash issue.
VoiceMail.MailboxManager: update_mailbox()[6442]: Message J19L54APIQ is new to this mailbox
VoiceMail.MailboxManager: update_mailbox()[6442]: Message J19L54APIQ is marked as new
VoiceMail.MailboxManager: update_mailbox()[6442]: Message J19L54APIQ is marked as deleted
VoiceMail.MailboxManager: update_mailbox()[6442]: Message J19L54APIQ is being deleted because it is
marked for deletion
VoiceMail.MailboxManager: update_mailbox()[6442]: Updating greetings- Greeting is Standard Greeting
VoiceMail.MailboxManager: update_mailbox()[6442]: Messages in this mailbox have been updated- now
updating MWI status

I wonder if it is a class of service issue blocking the internal caller from accessing the voice mail system.
Thanks for the idea jwable. I don't see a cos that is blocking. It looks like something is marking it for deletion right after creation and then deleting the message. I don't know if cos would behave this way.
natem,
I would suggest an upgrade to A5.03 or R10.3.1 if you are not currently running one of those versions as they contain fixes for some past CFLASH issues. If that does not resolve the problem please let us know.
Thanks,
Matt

I found that the issue is between our two 7100s at the same site. When I call internally from one 7100(1st) to the other 7100(2nd) and it goes to voicemail the message is immediately deleted as shown in the debug above. If I call from an extension on the other(2nd) 7100 and the call goes to voicemail it works.
I'm thinking that this is a one way audio issue and the voicemail is deleting the message due to there not being anything in the message. I do hear the greeting for the mailbox. I'm now running R10.5.0.E. Has anyone had this issue before or know what debug I should run?
Thanks for the ideas Matt.
Hmm I'm thinking that the issue is a routing/network config issue on our layer 3 switches between the 7100s.
natem,
I would suggest issuing the run checkdisk CFLASH command shortly after a reboot. If that does not help the next step would be to format the CFLASH, but make sure to backup all of the files first so you can move them back over.
Thanks,
Matt
The method of formatting is to run command erase file-system cflash ?
Use "format file-system cflash"
Thanks for the info. Maybe it's different in my firmware version. I did an erase file-system cflash after backing the files up. I rebooted the unit and restored the files as outlined in the adtran backup document. The formatting of the cflash did not fix the leaving of voicemails on the other system.
I don't know if this is a routing issue or not. During a phone call audio can be heard both ways. Does leaving a voicemail do some sort of transfer that is different than the process of a normal call? I have a guess that the voice isn't making it into the voicemail message so the system deletes the message.
Additionally I noticed if I call the voicemail login extension from the other 7100 that the system doesn't take the key presses and keeps repeating "mailbox" when pressing keys. I'm think that this could be a clue to the voicemail issue. Anyone have another guess?
I uploaded GreekPeakNewDebug.zip. The debug is from 6119 but represents the issue from all polycoms from that 7100 if the simple phone is not enabled.
natem - I will reply on the other post you made related to this issue:
