I have a NV7100 running firmware R10.9.2.E. We have had 10 analog trunks working great for over a year. We are in the middle of switching over to SIP service from our provider. They have provided us some new lines. I setup a SIP trunk pointing to my providers SIP gateway and added the lines to the registration settings. They are using IP based authentication so no credentials needed. I've also setup the trunk group and added the trunk account to it. I then added one of these lines as a DID to one of my current working phones. I call the DID and it works perfectly. However, I noticed that under Voice-->Reports-->Trunk Registrations my SIP lines show as not registered. Strange because they work fine. Should I be concerned or is this a bug? Any help would be great. Thanks.
Scott
Try setting them to register with no authentication. If the provider truly doesn't use registration at all, then don't configure registration on your side and they'll continue to just work.
Anyone know why this is happening? I ran some more tests and the SIP trunks do work, regardless of what this screen says.

Scott, Jay is correct in that registration may not be required in this case. If you're still concerned about it, please reply with the output of "debug sip stack message" after entering the command, "sip trunk-registration force-register". Thanks
Jay
So are you saying i shouldn't fill in any of the SIP registrar settings? Right now I don't have any authentication set on registration settings. Below are a couple screens of my debug and settings. Let me know what you guys think.
Scott, was that the only output you got from the debug? If the provider isn't responding, it might be worth checking with them to see if they're seeing the registration requests at all.
The other thing to make sure of is that the media gateway on your WAN interface is set to an interface with a routeable IP address.
Thanks
Jay
That's the only thing I got from the debug. Let me try and setup a call with our provider. I will get back with you when I find out what they're getting on their end.
This has been resolved. I confirmed with my provider we do not need to do registrations. As Jay mentioned, I just turned registration off and all is working well.
