COS override not allowing LD calls

Jump to solution

Taken from another thread but I'm having the same issue. Maybe I'm doing it wrong can't seem to find a user guide with  directions. Set up in lab and can't seem to get call out. Use *90 plus override code programmed in desired COS. What next? Tried 9 1 area code numbe, just area code number. Just get a pause then fast busy.

Re: COS override not allowing LD calls

Frank,

Here is example setup

Ext 4010 is public phone COS which is not allowed to call LD

The Normal users COS Override Passcode is set to 6789

I tried to call a LD call prior to entering code. From ext 4010 I dialed 917703334444 and got fast busy

From the Ext 4010 phone I dialed *906789 it took a couple seconds and then the line hung up.

I then dialed the same LD call and it worked.

You can only place one call after entering the *90 code, after that it defaults back to the normal COS.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Mark. It works. Different from any other system I have worked with.
