ip ffe - applied to interfaces by default?

Is 'ip ffe' being enabled on all interfaces by default in the newer AOS firmware?  If so, what version of AOS did this first appear?

No, it's not on by default but is recommended by Adtran...

Maybe someone else knows when it was added?

The fast forwarding engine (FFE) was enabled by default, starting in AOS firmware version R10.4.0.  The release notes (attached) for that firmware revision have it listed under the "Features and Enhancements" heading:

• Added IPv6 support for RapidRoute, AOS's fast forwarding engine. Both IPv6 and IPv4 RapidRoute are now enabled by default.
