Bonded T1? Netvanta 3430

Jump to solution

I have a first generation Netvanta 3430 currently configured to use a MPLST1.  Is this unit capable of bringing in a second MPLST1 and setting up a Bonded T1? If so, is there any other hardware needed or is this device capable without any additional hardware other than the T1?

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.  The physical chassis is capable of handing this application; as long as you have installed the appropriate dual-T1 module in the unit.  For assistance with selection of products for your network design and applications, please contact our applications engineers.  If you already have the appropriate module in the unit, then you can bond the T1s together using multi-link PPP (MLPPP) or multi-link Frame Relay (MLFR) (depending what protocol you are using).

If you have questions about how to configure the unit for bonding two T1s, then please do not hesitate to reply.  I will be happy to help in any way I can.
