Hi,
Is there any way of configuring NV 3200 for bridge mode to use with a router which does pppoe auth. If it is possible can someone please provide a dummy config with the right cross connects or any bridging needed ?
Much Appreciate any help
- Unfortunately, the NetVanta 3200 cannot act as purely a SHDSL termination device while a device behind it authenticates over the connection to do PPPoE. The Netvanta can be setup so that the WAN and LAN interfaces are bridged, however, it would still have to be the one to do PPPoE.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Noor
- I would be more than happy to help you regarding your question. However, I need some more details to help you further. Could you give us an idea of what your network topology looks like? Also, which device will be authenticating PPPoE? A network diagram showing your WAN/LAN setup would be helpful.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Noor
Thanks Noor for your response, right now this is just for testing purpose.
In this example, we are trying to setup a windows XP computer from its LAN connected to e0/1, PPPoE client on the computer to do the Auth.
Modem: NV3200 with SHDSL NIM
Client: Windows XP
Tail: SHDSL 8/35 PVC
