Is there any way to increase the event-history buffer in the 3100 series?
Any time I have IPSEC issues, the buffer gets so filled with crypto messages that it becomes useless within 5 minutes. Being able to use some of the flash memory for event-history logs cli for example would be a Godsend.

However, in addition to that post, for your specific scenario, many people use a terminal client (such as Putty) to capture troubleshooting output to a file. Please review the Enabling Persistent Debug Logging document for other options. To do this in Putty do the following:
Session > Logging > All session output > Create a log name and browse to where you would like it saved > then press the "Open" button
After this is done, any output from the Putty session will be saved to the file/location specified (this includes commands issued as well as debug information).
