I have a customer with a NetVanta 3120 (set up by someone else...). They have a 100Mbps internet connection, but are only getting 40 to 50Mbps out of the 3120. They are getting 100Mbps at the cable modem.
Is the 3120 capable of 100Mbps throughput?
I've checked various items listed in forum questions. I don't see a limit anywhere. ffe is on. I do see 75000Kbps under "Modify Assignment" in the QoS Maps section, but that shouldn't limit it to 50Mbps.
Thanks

NetVanta3120#
The NetVanta 3450 is rated for 100Mbps aggregate w/ FW, NAT, QOS & Traffic-Shaping, (or 150Mbps w/only FW/NAT Enabled). The next step up is the NV 4430 which is rated for 150Mbps aggregate w/ FW, NAT, QOS & Traffic-Shaping, (or 750Mbps w/only FW & NAT enabled). But JHall is correct, we only market the 3120 for 5-20Mbps throughput.
That router tops out at around 30Meg. The next model up the 3448 I've seen top out around 80M. I'm not sure if they have anything that will go higher. There is supposed to be an updated model to the 3120 but I've not heard when it will be available. I've been pushing my higher bandwidth customers into Sonicwalls. They cost more but at least they will handle the traffic.
Thanks; that's pretty much what I thought. I did find a 6 year old test that showed it at ~32Mbps, but nothing more recent. At least they're getting 40Mbps...
