We're installing a NetVanta 1638P today for use in a VoIP environment. A call recording server will be connected, and port mirroring will be used so the server can see voice traffic. Is there any way to mirror only SIP and RTP, rather than all traffic from monitor session sources?
I couldn't find anything like this in the port mirroring guide. Thanks in advance!

and - There really is no way for the Adtran to filter which packets are captured using port mirroring except if it should only capture transmit and/or receive traffic. As unified mentioned, the packets are usually filtered by the packet capturing application (i.e. Wireshark). However, these filter options are not configurable on the Adtran itself.
Thanks,
Noor
I don't believe Adtran products can't do this. (Please correct me if I am wrong)
I needed this and went with a product from Gigamon. Gigamon | Network Visibility | Traffic Visibility Networking | Network Traffic
