I have 2 Netvanta 1550-48P - PoE switches connected by a 10 GB optical fiber connection.
The keep on getting irresponsive and I cannot ping their SVI interfaces and I cannot login with a serial connection either.
The only thing I can do is just powering them off. Never had this issue with an Adtran device before.
I am having a similar problem - a reboot seems to make it responsive for a while, like a day or 2, but then same problem occurs.
Have you had any luck figuring out a solution? I am just now looking at firmware options to see if an update may help.

What firmware are you running on the device?
I can’t get into the devices right now without powercycling them, which I can’t do now.
However I have a third that I can get into, and I am guessing they are all the same.
They are showing firmware version BVS1.0

Was there a solution to this? I am having the same problem with the same model switch.
Adtran support sent me this, which worked
Hi Scott,
This sounds like an issue that is in the unsupported BVS1.0 firmware. If you have already upgraded the firmware to R11.10.2 and are still seeing this issue, please provide the configuration file for the switch that are connected.
Also in R11.10.0 there was an issue where the SFP's would not restore service after a power cycle, but this is resolved in R11.10.2.

Replacing the BVS1.0 version with the NV1550A-R11-10-2 version fixed the issue
