I had to remove the file system of the netvanta 1224 ST POE. I have been following the documentation to load a new firmware from a tftp server. I have been this far been unsuccessful on copying the new firmware to flash. It times out every time. I am using a tftp server program by solar winds on my laptop that I have connected to the console port. I am also using Putty. I have also tried to copy the firmware using xmodem, but get a message that I have to be connected through the console (which I have). I have also tried. configured the port (1) that the switch is plugged into either my laptop or another switch with an IP and static route. I have also tried a few different versions, but all have failed to upload.
