We have a few different unit that we get this error when trying to save the running config to startup config. The only way to temporarily fix this is to reboot the unit. It only is happening on the NV7100 systems, we have no problems with any Total Access units. Anyone else ever see this or know how to resolve it from happening?
Error creating the output file to target drive.
Try copying the startup-config to a test file on the CFLASH:
copy startup-config cflash test-config
If that works then try again to copy the running-config to the startup-config.
Thanks,
Matt

After copying the startup to cflash I'm able to copy running to both startup and tftp. How do I fix this permanently?
