Can anyone recommend a third party external ringer?

Jump to solution

The following two have been suggested, I'm wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with these or others?

The Algo 8180 is a great device.  I use them for external ringers and for paging.  You get multiple registrations in a single unit, one of which is for paging.  It does an auto answer.  The other registrations are ring only, but you can set different WAV file playbacks for each one, so a single unit can signify multiple things.  The multicast works well also if you have several units for zone paging.  You cant add them into page groups with polycom phones unfortunately, but you can use the audio output on the back of the unit to interface to an amp for paging as well.  they come with a bunch of tones to playback, and have a bit of memory to upload your own audio if desired.

Thank you, we purchased an Algo 8180 and installed it in a very loud DPW garage. The employees are very pleased with its performance. I am in the process of ordering a few more to be installed in other municipal operations facilities.
