Hook-flash transfer on FXO port (NetVanta 6310)

Hello everyone,

Our company has received a NetVanta 6310 to test with, as a possible replacement for the Dialogic Analog Gateways we have in the field.  It has an 8 port FXO card in it, which we were told was what we needed to connect analog lines from a phone switch to.  In our test lab, this is an Avaya Merlin Legend.  We are able to send calls from the analog line directly to our test SIP trunk (IVR), but part of our callflow requires both outbound calls and transfers back out the analog line.

I have included the debug voice->switchboard trace.  The basic callflow is me calling analog port 1 (ext 541), which sends the call to our SIP trunk (204.238.52.226), where I tell it to transfer me to extension 670, which is listed in the trunk group of the analog line.

I've reviewed much of the forum posts and examples, but I don't really anything specific to transferring calls back out of the analog line.

Is something like this possible?  Could I be missing something in the configuration?  Is it because we have an FXO board vs. a FXS board?

Thanks,

Dean Hoover

Re: Hook-flash transfer on FXO port (NetVanta 6310)

Mr. Hoover,

Thanks for posting.  Unfortunately, flash hook is not supported on an FXO port.  We do support this feature on an FXS port.

Thanks!

David
