I am troubleshoot a VPN that stops working after a while. It seems to be random and I feel it is the SonicWall at the other end where the problem exists.
I've configured a probe and track for testing VPN traffic. I would like to get an alert so I can troubleshoot when the track transitions from one state to another.
Could someone point me in the right direction for this one?
Thanks
Please disregard my request. I found the answer elsewhere in the knowledge base.
Did you find the answer to your email alert question or to your Sonic Wall question?
I also had issues with a VPN that terminated on a Sonic Wall. I know what caused the problem. I resolved much of the problem. However, the Sonic Wall continued to plague me until I eliminated it.
The issue that I had occurred when the Sonic Wall initiated the tunnel. My Netvanta router was configured to accept a subnet of IP addresses. I could not configure the Sonic Wall for a subnet. It wanted to open the tunnel for a /24 network.
I never resolved the Sonic Wall problem. My scenario was a little different. They were dynamic VPN(s) being initiated by the Adtran to the Sonic Wall. I ended up replacing the Sonic Wall with a NetVanta 3448.
