Good aftgernoon forum, I have the next issue:
I created 3 VLans on my 1238, when I configure one of them and tur it by "no shu" the other VLans change to down (shutdown), when I do it by GUI I get the same result, there is an advice that tells me that the other VLANS will be turned off.
What can i do?
- The NetVanta 123x switches can support multiple VLANs. However, it can only have one VLAN interface active at a time. It sounds like you are attempting to create multiple VLAN interfaces instead of multiple VLANs. When you enable a VLAN interface when another VLAN interface is already active, the new VLAN interface will become active, and the previous one will automatically shut down. The VLAN interface on the 123x switch is used for primary for administrative purposes.
More information on how to configure VLANs and VLAN interfaces can be found in the following thread: Re: How to create a VLAN on Netvanta 1234
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Noor
